ATImonitor crashing on bootup

Thread needs solution

I have an issue with ATI2018 where , 1 boot out of 4 I am presented with an error to the effect that ATIMONITOR.EXE failed to start.

Anyone else getting this error?

For me, it has occurred across existing and clean windows 10 installations

it's random. No pattern that I can see. I contacted support and while they are responsive, they are slow to respond. This issue has been going on for some time (A month? feels like longer) and this last time, the email that they sent me referenced a support doc from ATI2015 and a registry key that doesn't exist on my win10 machine.

I have to wonder if they have a clue. At one point tech support logged onto my machine via team viewer and said they were escalating the issue. Based on this last phone call and subsequent email, I think I'm going down the ladder not up.

Hector, welcome to these User Forums.

This is probably the same issue as raised in forum topic: Error at bootup so would suggest referencing this topic in your chat / email with tech support.

Just to clarify from my perspective, I do see these '142' errors from the Acronis TrueImageMonitor.exe program, but I also see them from other programs too.
