Best practices for syncing my NAS to the Acronis cloud

Thread needs solution

On my Synology NAS I have about 2.5 TB of data files I want to backup to the cloud.  I was thinking that syncing would be my best option, however, I am unable to select the NAS folders I want to sync.  I can only select the NAS folders I want to sync when doing a backup.

Currently the NAS is synchronized with an external USB drive, then that USB drive is backed up to Backblaze.  This works well, and I was hoping to duplicate this type of backup, where I can easily see my files in the cloud, download them if need be, etc.

Is a backup of the NAS the way to go?

Bernard, you may need to check out the costs involved in sync'ing up to 3TB of data with the Acronis Cloud.

Please review the ATIH 2018 User Guide: What you can and cannot synchronize which sets out the rules for using synchronisation, including why this is folder based rather than files.

I don't personally use the Sync feature of ATI 2018 and only use my own Synology NAS as a target for storing data, with the original, Source data on the PC's I backup to the NAS.  The NAS being just one of my backup options with some reliance on the RAID protection offered for the drives used.

I went with a backup.  My only concern with 2.5 TB of data is exceeding my 5TB limit.  Subsequently I've turned down number of versions to retain to 7, and to delete copies after 1 month.  I think I will have to go lower than this though, in order to remain under 5 TB.
