Customize "exclude" list in Rescue Media

Thread needs solution

As the subject suggests, I'm wondering if I can modify the "exclude" list to add wildcard patterns when constructing Rescue Media for TrueImage 2018?  Is there a file that can be altered to includes these additions?

For example, in my case, it makes sense to exclude files from the backup that can be regenerated, represent large footprints, and cause differential backups to balloon--like *.obj and *.pdb files (Visual Studio).

Yes, I understand that you can probably do this with the installed Acronis product, but I only use Rescue Media to perform backups.

Bob, sorry but there is no known or published method of doing what you ask - this would need to be a new feature in the Rescue Media Builder tool that Acronis would have to provide.

The only suggestion that I can make here would be to consider using the MVP Custom ATIPE Builder script (link in my signature), where you could put a text file in the Extras folder of the tool, which would then be included in the built rescue media on USB or CD, and you could copy / paste the default exclusions from this file via the PE desktop to ATI when doing your backups.

Damn.  Well, that's two things it needs now: Customizable boot menu and exclusion list before creation.

Thanks for your reply, Steve.
