File Explorer usage with .tib file restore
Well, I LOVE the File Explorer ability to restore files from a .tib file !
BUT, upon using I found the following problem...
When I select, with File Explorer, within a .tib backup file, a random file and do a copy of that backed up file that works, upon attempting to restore with a paste it does and does not work to my liking. In other words...
I cannot restore to the root of a drive, as in C:\, the Windows disk, or F:\, a removable USB... I get "Access Denied", no error number.
However, if I create a directory, or just copy to an existing directory, it works with a paste and no errors. It also works with a paste to desktop.
Guess I can always just create a directory or paste to an existing directory, I just want to go to the root of drives sometimes and am wondering what is happening ?

Okay, guess I answered my own question reference to '"write" allowed by my user id on roots... Just like in DOS windows Admin has to be added, even though my user id has ADMIN... still has to be added. And, the roots of drives, by default, don't allow write to my user id, even though it has admin.
Thus, changed the properties on the USB Removable root to allow write to all users and viola all good.
As in standard File Explorer operations it notifies admin necessary, then proceeds with okay, would be nice if ATI did same notification versus failures, that is if the user id really has Admin.
Anyway, my bad !

Dan,
This may be an Active Protection issue. You might try disabling AP, then try copy/paste to root and see if that works.
