h:\my c drive_inc_b1_s14_v1.tib does not exist

Thread needs solution

This week's backup (2/5/2019) failed for the subject error message (h:\my c drive_inc_b1_s14_v1.tib does not exist). However, it DOES exist, and was created on January 29.

Current version Acronis 2018, run before the update I saw today, but otherwise uneventful.

TIA

Elaine, please see my comments in your other topic in this forum.

Has the drive letter changed here for your backup drive, i.e. does your backup task show the same drive letter as your external drive does?

No, the backup task/drive letters have not changed at all. The only thing I can think of is that something may have happened around the time it started (11PM) something "blinked" and the H:\ drive was temporarily offline. That said, tho, I see no evidence of that. This was the first time this particular error has ever happened, btw, over a goodly number of years.

Unless this happens again, I'll probably just have to chalk this one up to a full moon :)

Thanks!

Power saving options including such as USB selective suspend can contribute to this type of issue as can a faulty USB cable or the target drive being mismatched to the type of USB port it connects to, i.e. a USB 3.0 drive connected to a USB 2.0 port etc.
