limitation of the backup size

Thread solved
I make daily backups in incremental mode on a NAS connected to my network.
None of the save options (do not store more than x strings, keeping the size less than x)
is not taken into account. I am therefore forced to manually manage the disk space occupied by the backup.

Thank you for your help

Charles, welcome to these public User Forums.

I am not aware of any issues with the way automatic cleanup works regardless of the destination where the backup files are stored.

I make regular backups from most of my home PC's to my own Synology NAS and have always used the 'Store no more than 2 recent versions / version chains' option for automatic cleanup, and have not needed to do any manual cleanup actions.

The key with using the above option is to realise that nothing gets deleted until the 3rd Full backup image has been created successfully, so you need to have sufficient free space on the NAS to allow for 2+1 backup versions / version chains to allow automatic cleanup to work correctly.
