MVP Tool - CUSTOM ATI WINPE BUILDER User Assistance
Are there instructions, directions or a step-by-step procedure to walk users through configuration of the recovery media (flash drive) in Acronis TI 2018 that supports SSD media? As noted by others, neither Acronis True Image 2017 or 2018 recognizes or identifies my Dell XPS 15 with a Samsung SSD.
I see that there may be fixes for this issue, but the process to create a recovery boot drive that will recognize SSD media is very complex. I am frustrated that Acronis does not already incorporate these fixes in a commercial product that is otherwise very well featured.
Thanks to all who comment or contribute.

The most likely reason why the recovery media doesn't see you Samsung SSD is that the SATA mode in the BIOS has been set to RAID. OEM's are doing this even when there is only one drive in the computer. It is supposed to give enhanced performance. That means the RAID driver needs to added to the WinPE build. If your computer is using Intel IRST RAID, the driver to support this has been made available in the MVP Tool. All you would need to do is say yes to the question about adding Custom Drivers during the build.
