NAS

Thread needs solution

So we have a QNAP storage server and I'm just wondering if I'm missing something for it to show under My NAS connections?

I can browse to the server under Network fine when I'm in Acronis but not under the NAS Connections

what I want to do is: I've created a bootable USB and for all the new pc's we get I would plug in the usb and boot from it and I'd like to pull the image from the server, only it's not listed under the NAS connections

from an external USB the image can get pulled down fine

thanks!!

Trever, welcome to these User Forums.

Please see KB

57992: Acronis True Image: NAS Is Not Detected

which may offer some suggestions to help you.

Trever,

The NAS section of the application relies on whats called Zero Configuration networking.  You can check your QNAP documentation to see if that feature is enabled on the device.  If it is then enable it and the device should then show up in the NAS folder.

EDIT:

True Image uses Bonjour for discovery of NAS devices for display under the NAS folder in the application.  Look at the following link for how to enable it LINK
