Unable To Start Backup

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I'm using Acronis True Image 2018 with Windows 10. It's been working fine for a while, but now I can't start a backup. I'm trying to back up my C drive to an empty external hard drive, but I just get the following message:

"The backup has successfully completed."

Please can someone tell me how to stop this from appearing and create the backup?

Sorry, but too little information provided for this issue to know where to start with advising you?

Please download the MVP Log Viewer tool from the Community Tools link in my signature and use this to access the log for your backup task, this should give some more information.

Ideally, post some screen shots showing your settings for your backup task, in particular, what type of backup you are doing, i.e. Disk & Partitions, Files & Folders ?  What size of data you are backing up? 

How is your empty external backup drive formatted?  If this is exFAT then sorry but not supported, it needs to be NTFS or FAT32, though the latter will cause your backups to be segmented into smaller file sizes due to max file size limitations.
