Upgrading form 203 to 218

Thread needs solution

Hi:

Switching over to a new PC and want to confirm that my old back files made with 2013 will be compatible once I install 2018 on my new PC.

Also...  any words of advice on Acronis 2018?   I had a bunch of issues with 2013 backing up to a NAS.  I think I am going to do an eternal drive via USB this time around (4TB WD Passport) and then use an additional online backup service for data.  Any advice is welcome!

Steven, welcome to these User Forums.

Your ATI 2013 backups should be fine with ATI 2018.  See KB 1689: Backup archive compatibility across different product versions which shows as follows:

Acronis True Image 2018 Standard, Advanced and Premium on Windows

backups of Windows computers created with:
Acronis True Image 2017, Acronis True Image Subscription
Acronis True Image 2016, Acronis True Image Cloud (Release 2016)
Acronis True Image 2015
Acronis True Image 2014*
True Image 2013 by Acronis*
Acronis True Image Home 2012*
Acronis True Image Home 2011*
Acronis True Image Home 2010*
Acronis True Image Home 2009*
Acronis True Image Home 11*

NAS support in ATI 2018 has improved a lot over earlier versions but best to use multiple different backup destinations if possible.
