Application brutally slow
Have re-installed TI2019 on a new system and it is brutally slow. Win10Pro, Ryzen 9 3900X 12 core, 64GM of RAM. Data connections are USB 3.0.
Every time I try to do something in the application (i.e., create a new backup, change source, set destination) the application hangs for a good 2 minutes and the Not Responding message appears on the top ribbon.
There is no way any application should be slow on this machine. This did not happen on my laptop (Surface Book 2, Win10Pro, Core i7, 16GB of RAM, USB 3.0)
Useful thoughts appreciated.

Active Protection is turned off. I always turn it off.
There is no third-party security software installed.

Robert, the only other suggestions at this time:
Ensure that ATI 2019 was installed using an Administrator account - this is a documented system requirement in the user guide in order for ATI to have the required authorities / privileges to perform its operations.
Try doing a Repair Install (as Administrator) as per KB 60915: Acronis True Image: repairing program settings

It was installed by an admin account: Me. I'm the only user and have full admin privileges. I'll try doing a repair. Am skeptical it will resolve anything.

To clarify, you also have to "Run as administrator" - this is necessary when installing most, if not all, programs. A repair installation is known to fix all sorts of issues.

No, "Run as Administrator" is not a necessary step to install most, if not all, programs.
I've done a repair of the installation and nothing is different. It's still brutally slow and hangs constantly when trying to do anything (i.e., changing backup settings).
I'm done. Life is too short to waste on bad software and this is just flat out bad software.
