assistance to re-install previous image(tib file)

Thread needs solution

Dear Team,

I need your assistance with ATI 2019.

Before explaining my issue, i wish to know how to integrate previous image in GUI ATI2019 in order to re-install image on HDD partition?

I backuped several partitions on my current HDD sata 1TO(with primary partition with Windows 1 X64) and others partitions(with game and backups) i got then several images I recorded on USD HHD.

I bought a new HDD 2TO and made 4 partitions whose one primary to re-initialise it with the OS WINDOWS X64 thru the image i recorded, when i swap HDD from the former to the new one when I boot my pc i got a black screen.

Looking forward to hearing from

Have a great day

Mac Joe

You can use the option to 'Add existing backup' found in the main ATI 2019 GUI to do this.

The correct method to recover your Disk & Partitions backup image to a new HDD drive should be to boot from the Acronis Rescue Media to perform the recovery.  There is no need to create any partition on the target drive if recovering a disk image as the first action when recovering is to wipe the target drive and recreate the partition structure from information in the backup image.

Note: the Acronis Rescue Media should be booted using the same BIOS mode as used by your Windows OS.  You can find the BIOS mode by using the msinfo32 command in Windows.

See KB 59877: Acronis True Image: how to distinguish between UEFI and Legacy BIOS boot modes of Acronis Bootable Media - for more information.
