This is a NAS. I can create files in that folder, delete files in that folder, and all from the machine that is a problem. I have recreated the mapped drive, and tried mapping via drive letter and fqdn, all with same result. I have also changed the folder on the NAS that it backs up to. Next I'll try the local external drive and see what happens. Will advise shortly.

Created a backup to an external USB drive without fail.
All attempts to the NAS (which work on every other PC in the house) fail. Basically jumps to 27mb of backup and sits there until timeout.
For further clarification, I can create files and folders, the mapped drive retains connectivity through reboots, and I have setup that connection multiple times trying \\server and \\server.local and multiple users. (admin rights too)

anyone? Actually have 2 pcs that will not backup. Thinking about changing to another product.

John, I can only offer some further suggestions here based on the limited information provided.
I would recommend setting up a dedicated NAS user account with read/write access to your target destination folder, and not using this user for any other purpose than for your Acronis backup task(s). Do not use it to map any Windows network drive letters and avoid having any open network drives to the same NAS while the Acronis backup is active.
Ideally, disconnect any mapped network drives to the same NAS before attempting to run the backup.
If you still see issues then please collect an Acronis System Report zip file (to capture all the logs created by ATI) and share this via a cloud service (Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive etc), so that we can check for any other factors that may be involved here?
