Building rescue bootable USB for lenovo P52

Thread needs solution

The Acronis rescue bootable USB does not have the proper Ethernet driver for my new Lenovo P52. It is working with my Lenovo W541 though. I have tried to contact Lenovo to get the .inf format driver but apparently it is impossible. So, I am not able to backup my disk to my network drive. Does anybody have a solution or any compatible driver that I could use to compile them with Acronis building rescue USB.

Thanks

MOD, welcome to these public User Forums.

Please take a look at the MVP Custom ATI PE Builder tool which can extract the drivers from your computer with the network card and include in the MVP version of the WinPE Rescue Media - link in my signature below or via the MVP User Tools and Tutorials link in the forums.

Which rescue media are you using? Try building with winre. That should automatically get the driver from your system.

What is the Ethernet adapter model? I'm sure we can find the driver if need be, but WinRE rescue media will likely do the trick.

It looks like it's using the Intel pro 1000 gt. Use the link above to get the drivers directly from Intel. Download the prowinx64.exe from the site and just use 7-zip to open the exe and copy the drivers out of it if you want yo have them readily available as well.

The adapter model is Intel= Ethernet Connection I219-LM . I did try to extract the .inf or .sys file from the lenovo .exe driver file with 7zip  but there is no .inf or .sys !!

Yeah, forgot the Lenovo version. Get the drivers directly from Intel. The full Intel Ethernet driver pack has drivers for this adapter and you can manually get it out of the zip file.

Thanks , I will give it a trial and let people know
