Failed to Do Full Disk Recovery with AIT 2019
Hi, recently I tried to swap to a new SSD so I have backed up my old disk and attempted to do a recovery with ATI 2019. It started off with no problem, passed the data validation and proceeded to recovery, but at the end of the operation, it prompted an error:
Also, its log looks like this
My disk partitions:
After the prompted failure, I assumed it went south but surprisingly the system booted from the new disk. Everything seemed fine at first, but some of the Windows APPs crash upon opening (e.g., Microsoft Photos, gives you an App did not start error). Is it common for a new disk recovered from an old disk to have these problems or it has something to do with the recovery failure?
Wondering what went wrong, I backed up the data using a default schema (did not change anything in the options, the backup is updated incrementally), the backup stored in an external drive and the rescue bootable in a USB stick.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Steve, thanks for your reply.
Yeah, I have stored the backup image in an external drive, and as the laptop has only one disk slot, the backup should only include the single disk installed on the laptop. My backup source was the "Entire PC", and when I select "Disks and Partitions", it confirms that there is only one disk:
Please let me know if more info is needed. Thanks!

Pascal, it looks like you have an issue here with the external drive holding your backup image and you should do a CHKDSK /F for that drive, or else use the drive makers diagnostic tools to check the drive.
