Incorrect usage size of cloud storage

Thread needs solution

I use Acronis True Image to backup some folders to Acronis Cloud,  overall size is about 200 GB,  but when I view Storage Usage in True Image, it shows only 6 MB used.  Online Dashboard displays the same.  But when I try to restore something from cloud it went without a problem. So my data is in the cloud and it is ok. So information about storage usage is obviously wrong. Sometimes when I just open True Image I see correct value of usage, but then it goes wrong again.

Gwynbleidd, welcome to these public User Forums.

Difficult to say why your Cloud storage used value is shown incorrectly but the good news here looks to be that it is only the displayed information that is wrong and your data is present in the Cloud!

I would recommend opening a Support Case direct with Acronis for this issue and let them check their Cloud server(s) and your Account configuration etc to try to identify why this issue is shown?

Gwynbleidd,

Go to your account online; https://account.acronis.com/#/products

Choose 'products' on left panel, then 'dashboard' for the PC of interest

When that opens, choose 'backups' on left panel

To the right of the computer of interest, click the gear icon and choose to 'clean up'.  I chose older than 30 days, but sometimes I choose both to fix problem.

I had your same issue.  I actually have a 170 GB backup, but only 22 GB was reported online.  I also had an entire directory missing online.  Desktop reported 170 GB.  Same as you, I could use desktop app to restore from cloud, the entire directories that I could not navigate online.  After 'cleaning' all is resolved - the folder is now shown, and the size is again correct online.

This issue is not with my desktop client. It would seem to be an indexing issue with the online database interface, but not the online data itself.

The only downside is you supposedly remove some of your revision history, but this beats some of the other solutions posted - reinstalling Acronis?! deleting your backups- ugh?!  these are destructive tangents, so I hope others find what I suggest, and it works for them as well.
