Runtime Error Starting Rescuemedia

Thread needs solution

I just try to practice an restore.

Building a rescue-media and booting

by TI2019 to a usb-stick (PE),

by TI2019 to a usb-stick (Linux),

by TI2019 iso-build startet by Rufus,

by TI created iso burned to a DVD

always lead to the "Choose 1,2,3 black screen" without any chance to press one key.

Instead Acronis reports "runtime error" error 148001.

Just in time before you can fetch your camera to screenshot the the number windows boots.

I never had this issue with ATI 2019. Please confirm that you have the latest build of ATI 2019, 18100, 21-Jan-22. Have you tried a repairing the ATI 2019 installation (60195: Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office, Acronis True Image: modify, update and clean installations on Windows)?

Ian

Thank you Ian,

the build was latest, the attempt to repair had no effect.
Imagine I wouldn't do this just for test...

An old AMD loads the USB-Stick

But it doesn't work with Lenovo E51-80, Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6200U.

I'm not sure if tried building using WinRE.

Option 1: Select Simple creation method

Option 2: Select Advanced creation method, the WinPE based media, then 64-bit  Windows Recovery Environment.

And boot the rescue media as either UEFI or Legacy depending on what your system uses for Windows Boot.

...but it works, if you select "especially for this pc".

What kind of means: if this pc stop working, you might have problems to use the stick on the new one".

So I will always select: make it usable for a any other machine, too.
