about the rescue disk

Thread needs solution

Hello
I would like create a rescue disl and know which options you recommend to create this flash rescue disk ?
1) First is a usb key the best option ?
2) In the parameters Removable Media Settings I have the following options to tick or not

Place Acronis True Image 2020 on media
Place Acronis System Report on media
Place Acronis True Image 2020 64bits on media
Place Acronis System Report 64bits on media
Ask for first media while creating backups on removable media

I have read the following but still have doubts
https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ATI2020/index.html#…

Thanks in advance

Cotp
PS I am using Windows 64 bits

B, using a USB memory stick is my main method of creating rescue media - this should be sized between 2GB up to a max size of 32GB.

The key advantage of using a USB stick is the ability to update this as needed, and to add any extras you may want to have on the stick, plus you can save data to the stick from within the rescue media boot environment.

The 'Removable Media Settings' do not apply to making rescue media - this is a throw back to a time when backups were using CD's and you wanted to have these options on the first CD of the backup set.

See KB 63226: Acronis True Image 2020: how to create bootable media

It sounds like you're building the rescue media with the universal restore media builder.  I would build the rescue media with the True Image media builder which is in the application - this will build a WinRE or WinPE version, instead of the older Linux version.  You want to build it for your hardware though - this would typically be 64-bit unless you have a low-end laptop or tablet with only 2GB of memory or less and a 32-bit only bios (most pc's in the last decade are 64-bit though).
