Accessing Onedrive from bootable media recovery

Thread solved

I am considering using Onedrive storage for backups. Is there a way to access Onedrive while recovering using bootable media?

Thanks. Rick

Rick, there is no direct support to access backup images stored in OneDrive cloud storage from the rescue media or from the Windows ATI application.  You would need to have the image files stored on a local drive which was accessible either internally / externally or on your network.

If you use the MVP Custom PE Builder tool to create rescue media, then this includes a web browser, so you could access OneDrive via the browser providing you have a working internet connection.  You should use a wired network adapter for best performance and due to the difficulty in getting wireless working from rescue media.

Rick,

Sorry, but it's not going to work. The portable browsers in the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of the MVP Tool can't communicate with OneDrive. Even if you did find a portable browser that could communicate with OneDrive from WinPE, how would you get TI to use a tib file for recovery? You'd need to download it to a local drive before TI could use it. Then what's the point. You may as well just store the backups locally.
