Acronis 2020 Incremental does not delete outdated files
I have Acronis 2020 (latest updates) and Windows 10 (latest) and Acronis backs up with no issues. I've set it to delete backup files that are more than 30 days old, but it is not. Instead, it fills up the backup drive.
See attached images for details. TrueImage_2021-09-04_10-42-16.png shows I have set up Incremental (#1), full version every 5 incremental versions (#2), and delete versions older than 30 days. Yet...explorer_2021-09-04_10-48-42.png shows files being kept ultimately back to January of this year when I set up the backup.
How can I correct this? What have I configured wrong? Why won't Acronis delete the old files?
Thanks in advance!

Sorry! Those were meant to be filenames of files I uploaded. No idea why they turned into link. I added the files (forgot to upload)....

Jeff,
Your task configuration will result in a total of 5 full version backups and 25 incremental version backups before your 30 day time period and at that point yet another full version file would need be created prior to any files being deleted. This obviously exceeds the capacity of your storage disk.
What you need to do is this:
- Remove the selection - Delete version chains older than 30 days.
- Select Store no more than X recent version chains where X is a number which will fit your allocated storage space.
A version chain will encompass a Full followed by a number of incremental then the next full will start a new chain. Thus if you select to retain 3 version chains you will accumulate 4 fulls plus 20 incremental files and on the next backup task run a cleanup will occur removing the oldest version chain.
