ATI 2020 20600 and 20770 Rescue Media Fails
This is a new one for me. I created WinRE rescue media on a fresh install of Windows 10 x64 education 1903 and a fresh installation of ATI 2020 20600 public release 1. This was built on my secondary computer which is an older laptop (ASUS T200a 2-in-1) which I've been using and testing with ATI for a few years now. The rescue media backs up this laptop without issue.
However, when I use it on my main computer with this rescue media (which I am not upgrading to 2020 at this time), the offline backup fails every time.
The backup has been created but its data is inconsistent with the source. Backup will be automatically restarted.
Failed to read the snapshot.
Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service
I'm opening up a support case as I do not believe this is an issue with the computer, but something in the rescue media. For starters, I've been backing up this PC with 2018 and 2019 in Windows and with offline rescue media without issue. Second, after the failure with the 2020 rescue media, I immediately used my 2019 rescue media and it backed up just fine with nothing else changed. Third, I don't know what insufficient resources this could be - the source and destination disk have plenty of free space, the CPU is pretty powerful and there is 32GB of memory in the system. Fourth, I ran chkdsk /f /r on the source drive (found errors and fixed them, but also never detected by 2019). I then ran DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and followed that up with SFC /Scannow (which came up clean). After all that, I rebooted, logged into Windows, shutdown with shutdown /f /p and then attempted another offline backup with the ATI 2020 rescue media and ended up with the same failure. I also swapped out the destination drive (just in case), repeated and had the same failure with the ATI 2020 rescue media. I once again, went back with the 2019 rescue media and it had no trouble with an offline backup.
Hopefully, my support case will help identify why 2019 is succeeding, but 2020 is failing on this system.

Even with me fails that backup. In the logs is repeatedly claimed that the hard drive is full, but I have enough space.
I just created new rescue media with the update that came out today and am about to test it out to see if it is working better or not.

I removed 20600 with the cleanup tool, rebooted and reinstalled 20770 cleanly. I created new WinRE rescue media with 20770 and tried to backup the disk again. It still fails. The rescue media is non-functional on this system and not willing to attempt a recovery at this time, but will try that later, after I have a good 2019 backup to fall back on.

"Module =" 7 "time =" 1567149498 ">

Logitech21, it sounds like you have a similar issue as me. Please be sure to submit feedback through the app and open a technical support case too! This is the first time I've ever seen this type of behavior with the rescue media and since it is only happening on one of my computers (with the same rescue media) and not the other, it definitely looks to be a problem with 2020. I have gone back and used my 2019 rescue media on both computers without issue, but I get the same error with 2020 every time I try to run a backup with it on this one computer.

Bobbo_3C0X1 , Ein Support Ticket dafür wurde schon eröffnet. Zur Zeit bearbeitet der Support intern 2 Fälle von mir und 3 weitere sind noch hängig, somit übe ich mich mal in Geduld.

I guess that's the best we can do for now. I'm in the same situation. Hopefully the developers are looking into this and will have a fix for us. In the meantime, I'm still using 2019 and the 2019 rescue media on this system and have no plans to upgrade on this machine until this is resolved.

Now we have end of October and i still get this Issue. I created a Ticket let's if they can fix it.

I believe this issue was resolved by removing all Windows Restore Points using Windows System Protection from the source disk. That enabled the WinPE/RE media to complete operations without error.
Hopefully Bobbo will confirm.

That seemed to be the case in my scenario.
Not sure why though and still have an open ticket for this in hopes of identifying the issue and/or bug since it was only the 2020 WinPE/WinRE rescue media that was failing under this condition (not 2020 Linux, not 2019 WinPE/WinRE, not 2019 Linux, and not other backup tools also using WinPE/WinRE and not any online backups with 2019 or 2020.)
