Back up is very slow

I tried to back up my files (77GB) to Acronis cloud. It takes more than an hour to finish 1MB. Also, it says the back up process will resume spontaneously when the PC is turned on again. But it doesn't when I turn on?

welcome to these public User Forums.

Any backup to the Acronis Cloud will take some time to complete depending on the speed of your broadband connection, and what your upload speed is.  The upload speed is normally much less than the download speed provided by many ISP's.

The cloud backup should resume automatically after restarting the computer, but again, it may take a little time to do so while required background services are launched etc.

I have the impression that resuming only works when an initial backup to the cloud has completed successfully.

The time take for a backup depends on the both the up and down speeds of your internet connection. Not that long ago my up link was limited to 2 Mbps and a backup of the size you are attempting would take several days, it was then increased to 5 Mbps and the time was cut by more than 50%; I now have upload speed of 35 Mbps and it would only take a few hours.

Ian, previously, I had no issue resuming a partial first backup in 2019. If I couldn't, my 500GB family pics folder would have never gotten finished because I had to keep pausing it so that my local backups could run. I haven't really done any cloud backups in 2020 as I'm not willing to make the leap yet, but am hoping that would still be the case with a new backup under 2020.

I may be getting confused here … there was a bug in the initial beta that caused backups to cloud to abort, and then the task started from the beginning. I think Steve Smith first reported that issue.

The cloud backup bug was fixed in the first public release of ATI 2020 so should not be in play for this user who should ideally be on the ATI 2020 #20770 build version.
