Cannot access my backup on Acronis Cloud.

Thread solved

I have not renewed my subscription of True Image 2021, but after the subscription has expired, you should have 30 days to download your backup. My subscription expired last Saturday so I should have many days left to access my backup. But after logging in, the only button on the page that is active is the new Manage License button and it only leads to an upgrade page. The other buttons (Backup, Archive, Sync and more) are thus deactivated.

I can also not register a new support case so my only chance is to get help from here.

Swen, welcome to these public User Forums.

Have you checked whether you can access your Cloud backup from the Recovery panel of the ATI 2021 application?  This won't offer you the same download option but should allow you to recover the backup to a spare disk drive if you wanted to.

Beyond the above, please send a private message to Ekaterina Surkova | Forum Moderator who can try to help you with the cloud side of things.

Thanks for that!

Yes, but the only choices available there are "Create bootable media",
"Acronis Cloud", "Sign out", "Enter serial number" and "Buy full version".

I can send a message to Ekaterina Surkova.

Unfortunately, Ekaterina Surkova has not returned to me. Maybe she's sick.

I tried if I could access the cloud from True Image 2018 but unfortunately it made no difference.

I enclose a screenshot of what it looks like. The only button that is active is "Hantera licens" ("Manage License"). If I click on it, I will eventually return to the original position.

Sven, Ekaterina has been dealing with posts in the forums today, so would hope that she will be able to respond to your message soon!

Hello Sven,

checked your account - no issues here, the data is available on your Cloud storage. While the main product functionality is disabled, you can access the data either from Acronis Dashboard at https://account.acronis.com/#/auth/login or from a bootable media.

Hello Ekaterina!

Thanks for the reply! I think it should be as you describe it but unfortunately it does not seem to be so. I enclose a screenshot of what it looks like. The active buttons available are "Köp mer" ("Buy more"), "Förnya" ("Renew"), "Förnya nu" ("Renew now") and "Dokumentation" ("Documentation"). The "Instrumentpanel" ("Instrument panel")  button that is available for my Acronis True Image 2018 further down the image is probably what would be needed. If I try to use Acronis True Image 2018, I end up in the same mode with inactive buttons that appear in the screenshot I previously uploaded.

Swen, what happens if you click on [Instrumentpanel] under your ATI 2018 product entry?

This looks like the option I see in my own Account...

Can you open your Dashboard via that button?  If I click on Dashboard, sign in with my Acronis Account and then click on Backups, I see my Cloud backups.

Yes, I tried it before. If I click on the "Instrumentpanel" button, I end up on the page that appears in the first screenshot I uploaded and with the buttons disabled.

Is the SAKERHETSKOPIOR option also denied in your dashboard page online?

If so, then you will need Ekaterina to intervene here with the Acronis side to get you access again!

I had an ongoing support issue called "[04704533]" Your Acronis Cloud storage is full "[ref: _00D30Zcb._5001T1RZfLz: ref]". Since you can not create any new support cases when the subscription has expired, I supplemented the case with a question about how I would do to access the cloud. The answer I got and which turned out to work was: I would request you to please access the backups stored on the Acronis cloud using the Acronis True Image application. I would request you to please download and sign in into the application by using the "Trial version" option and you should be able to access the files from your backup from the Acronis cloud.

If this is how everyone should do in my situation, not many people will succeed in finding that solution. Should it be so?

Swen, thanks for sharing that information with us in the forums!

It is the first time that I have seen such advice and isn't a solution that I would immediately have thought of, especially when Acronis tell users that their data is available for 30 days after the end of their subscription when not renewed!

Taking this advice to the next logical step, then using any perpetual version of ATI and signing in with your Acronis account credentials while the 30 day period is active should give the same result too!  I personally will normally only buy perpetual licenses but do have an active cloud subscription by virtue of being an MVP & beta tester, so is something to bear in mind for when these expire!
