Cannot connect to Airport

Thread needs solution

I just purchased Acronis True Image 2020 and would like to backup my PC to an Airport device. I have an external disk connected to my AirPort.  

In Acronsis I add a backup and then enter the credentials for my Airport device and it states, connection failed. The manual states it is compatible with the AirPort.  I know the password is correct and not sure why it can't connect.  Anyone else have issues with this?

Paul Julie, welcome to these public User Forums.

From the limited search on AirPort (ignoring commercial airports for flights...) it looks to me that this is predominently a device used on Apple Mac computers?

My experience is purely with Windows PC's and my first thoughts were along the lines of SMB 1.0 being disabled in the latest Windows 10 versions, but if you are coming from a Mac computer, I do not know if this would be relevant at all?

I would suggest 2 options here:

Open a support case direct with Acronis, especially if the user manual says this is supported for backing up to devices connected to your AirPort device.

Raise this question in the Acronis True Image for Mac forum where you will find other Mac users of ATI who may be better placed to offer you an answer.

Someone in the Acronis True Image for Mac Forum may be able to help, so it may be useful to repost there.
