CRC Error

Thread needs solution

I have just recently begun to receive an error. It is identified as "CRC error" and the backup ends shortly after it begins. I have run check disk and no errors were found. Can someone point me in the right direction to receiving a solution? Thank you.

Craig, sorry but more information is needed here.

What version / build of ATI are you using here?
For ATI 2020, the current latest build is 22510 as shown on the Account page in the GUI.

What type of backup are you using?
Is this a Disks & Partitions backup (or Entire PC) or a Files & Folders backup task?

What are your Source and Destination locations?
Are these both local / internal / external drives, network drives or to the Acronis Cloud?

Please download the MVP Log Viewer tool (link in my signature below) and use this to review the log file for your backup operation. This should provide more information on why you are seeing any notification messages?

Note: in the log viewer tool, look at both the Log View: Short and the Log View: Regular versions of the log data - the latter provides more detailed information.

CRC errors are normally an indication of a disk problem but insufficient information to say whether this is related to the source or destination disks, or whether there are other sources it could arise from such as overclocking, faulty cables etc.
