Don't forget about the Recycle bin on your USB backup drives.

Thread needs solution

Just a little reminder here as I was just dealing with this issue.

I was backing up using the recovery media to my USB drive. While running True Image, I decided to make more space on the USB drive so I deleted a .tib file while in the browse box to select the destination (via right click). The file deleted and I then realized that it didn't ask me if I wanted to delete it permanently so I figure it put it in the Recycle Bin on that drive.

Once I booted back into Windows I opened the Windows Recycle Bin in Explorer but didn't find anything for that USB drive. Using TreeSizeFree, I found that there was a 40GB file there. I then just deleted $Recycle.Bin from that USB drive.

The point being that if you are running out of space on a destination drive but it doesn't look like you should be, remember the Recycle bin.

Yeah, the same goes for backups that fail complaining about not enough space on the disk.
