Failed to read from sector '0' of hard disk '4'

Thread needs solution

I get this Error often opening any of the Tools and in the Recovery Media during Recovery using ATI 2020.

I can continue any operations if I select "Ignore All".

I checked Windows 10 and I don't have a Disk 4.

I searched the Forums and got the impression it's a Windows 10 problem.

Any solution to get rid of this?

My Backup Schedule is working fine and this didn't happen until I added an NMVe M.2 as my System Drive.

Timothy, Acronis uses a different disk numbering system than is used by Windows Disk Management or Diskpart.

Acronis numbers from 1 upwards versus Windows which starts at 0, so Acronis disk 4 = Windows disk 3, and the error message suggests that your disk 3 is being included in the operation being performed but is zero length due to no media status, hence sector 0 of that disk cannot be read as isn't present!

If you are doing an 'Entire PC' type backup of your PC, then change this by clicking on the Source panel and then on Disks & Partitions, then deselect your disk 3 for the backup task.
