Move

Thread needs solution

Not a new problem - I just got it in ATI 2019, too. When trying to use ATI to move FTP backups (which are still .tib in ATI 2020) ATI reports that the destination has no free space. In may case the destination had about 3.5TB free space. It has a bit less free space now because I have been successfully copying the files outside of ATI. Hopefully I'll be able to do "Add existing backup" to get them back into ATI, but I seen to recall that that also fails for FTP backups. I will find out soon.

Sorry but what exactly do you mean by 'using ATI to move FTP backups'?

The normal backup process can create backup files in FTP destinations but this is not a feature that I personally use (as I have no need to use it).

Are you using the option to Move an existing backup task destination to a FTP location?

Finally, are you using ATI 2020 (as per this forum) or using ATI 2019 (as per your statement above)?  Only ATI 2020 is supported for reporting any new issues to Acronis Support.

ATI's FTP support is not particularly robust.  I don't remember if I've tried to move an FTP backup.  I'll try a test later today.

I do know I had trouble doing "Add existing backup" for FTP backups, but it may depend on the size of the backups.  My impression was that something in ATI timed out before the Add was complete.

Update:
I, too, got the (incorrect) message stating no free space.  I'd say the Move function is broken for FTP backups.
