True Image 2020, why is my C Drive of 200 GB turn into a 800 GB file?

Thread needs solution

True Image 2020, why is my C Drive  save of 200 GB turn into a 800 GB file? I'm looking at settings such as compression, but don't see what it could be. I would think if anything, a 200 GB Drive would turn into something smaller as a save file.

What am I doing wrong or what have I over looked? Thanks!

Dave, sorry but too little information to give an answer to your question.

What type of backup are you creating here?

I assume it is Disks & Partitions, but is it Incremental too, and if so, what settings are being used?

Are you seeing a single 800GB file, if so, is it a .tibx file or a .tib file?

What other settings are you using, i.e. on the Advanced options page?
What Image creation mode is being used?

Is your C: drive a total size of 200GB or is that just the used data size on the drive?

Are you using any encryption on the drive?

Do you have more than one drive installed in the PC?

Ditto, if you could post some screenshots of your drives layout (windows disk manager) that would be helpful, along with the output file of the backup and some of they key backup settings.

My guess, and purely a guess with not much to work with, is that the C: drive is just one partition on a larger disk and you either backed up the entire disk, in addition to the C: drive, or you selected the "my pc" backup option and it backed up all internal drives instead of just the one intended.

The more you can share, the easier it will be to help determine what has happened.
