Very Slow Network Speeds during Backup

Thread needs solution

I have a wired, gigabit network and have always had fast backup speeds on all versions of TI going back many years with my SSD drive.  It usually runs at 400+ Mbps with the priority to set to low as there's not a lot on my network.

Recently, however, TI 2020 has become extremely slow over my network, falling between 703Kbps to 77.8Mbps, but generally running in single-digit Mbps. 

I reinstalled TI, set priority to Normal, ran the VSS Doctor (no issues), and reviewed my logs with the MVP tool (no issues), ran scandisk (no issue), and monitored multiples backups with the resource monitor to make sure nothing was competing for RAM, disk, or network resources (nothing was).  I checked the router as well, and it's running around 3-10% of available bandwidth, so nothing competing there, either.

Any ideas on what else it could be or what else I could try?  Thank you in advance for your help!

Ian, welcome to these public User Forums.

Performance issues are difficult to investigate due to all the possible factors that can be involved.

What type of backup is being performed here?  Disks & Partitions, or Files & Folders?

What is being backed up?  Is all the Source data coming from the same PC, or is the data coming from a different PC or device on the network?

What is the destination for the backup?  Is this another PC, a NAS or the Acronis Cloud?

Do you have other backups from the same PC and going to the same destination?
Do these show the same performance issue?

Have you tried creating a new test backup task of the same type?  Does this show the issue?

I'm going to un-necro this thread since it's still an issue in 2022 with the latest version. The same issue present, extremely slow backup, even for the very first one with a new backup created. Backup type is a folder backup, not disk image.
