Best practices for Acronis Cloud clean-up

Thread needs solution

I back up daily to Acronis Cloud using ATI 2021 and I'm running out of room. I understand cloud backups start with an Entire PC full backup on Day 1 and are followed by incremental backups on Day 2 to Day XXX, but I gather that the incremental backups are some kind of hybrid.

If I was to delete my incremental Day 2 backup to recover space, would I still be able to restore files from my Day 1 full backup as well as my Day 3 through Day 100 incremental backups? I assume that if I created and backed up a new Word file on Day 2 and never amended it again, that file would be lost forever when I deleted my incremental Day 2 backup.

I guess what I am asking is what are the best practices for cleaning up Acronis Cloud backups?

Hello Glen,

In fact, Cloud cleanup does not delete backup versions because they are dependent, but it consolidates them. The duplicated data will be deleted but the unique data will always be present if it was ever backed up. If full backup is selected, all depended incremental backups are selected as well.
