Desperately want to go back to 2020 or even 2019 version. Help???
I don't remember if I just need to revert to 2020 to get rid of all the so called cyber protection. It is doing a major job of slowing down my laptop and I don't need it. I don't think the ransomware protection did that so if that is all that was in 2020 it would work.
Can anyone tell me a safe place to download the 2020 (and 2019 if I need it)? I just renewed but will uninstall and buy another backup program if I have to. I need to revert, not just download a new version so my license still works. I'm elderly and not techie at all. And I can't just do a search for the older version because I won't know if the website is a safe place to download. Unfortunately I don't seem to have saved my older installation files.
Would so very much appreciate help!
Thank you.

Copies of any of the older versions of ATI can be downloaded from the Product Updates page links. A valid license is still required to install / activate any of these versions.

Have you tried using the 'Turn off protection' option and setting this to 'Permanently' so that it then shows as being 'Turned off permanently' in the right panel of the Protection page? This should resolve the performance issue if it is being caused by this feature.
Further, if you already have another security / antivirus application installed, then you should keep to only having one such application active, so either keep to the existing installed app or else uninstall it and use Acronis Cyber Protection from ATI 2021 but do not have both active!

Steve was this option added to a version of TI 2021 after the initial release? A while ago I reverted to IT 2020 because I didn't want the protection features and couldn't a way to disable them. Admittedly I haven't been watching the forum for updates since then.
Thanks

John, as far as I remember the option has been there in both of the main builds for ATI 2021 (32010 and now 34340) but there is some dispute about what even using 'Turn off permanently' does!
Yes, it does allow for another security application to perform the antivirus realtime protection, i.e. Windows Defender, BUT it still leaves the background Acronis Services active / running even if these are consuming minimal CPU & resources!
There is currently no official method of having ATI 2021 operate as it did with ATI 2020 without having to 'hack' the application.
Acronis have got an internal change request: TI-213392 Allow installation without Antimalware components in their internal systems and I would encourage users to send Feedback to Acronis if they want to add their vote for this change!
