Impossible to modify backup scripts?

Thread solved

I downloaded a trial, build 39216, to see if there has been any positive progress. I have disabled all protection in the UI of TI but i can still not make changes to the backup script and wonder if that is to expect today.

I want to change from @task@.tib to @task@-@date@-@time@.tib and have been able to do that in TI2020 and earlier. Now i am asked to save the file and when i do i am warned that the file will be replaced and when i click OK i get a message saying that it worked successfully. And then the same Save As window pops up again, and again.

Is it impossible today?

Win 10 (21H1), i am the Administrator on the computer.

Roger, you have found one of the changes that Acronis have made in ATI 2021 whereby even after stopping all Protection features, they still prevent access to the .tib.tis files!

What you can try doing is to set both AAP and ACP (Cyber Protection) services both to Disabled start in the Services control panel, then restart Windows.

Check the services after the restart and they should be stopped to allow the .tib.tis file to be edited & saved.

Note: do not attempt to launch the ATI GUI else the services will be restarted regardless of being set to Disabled start!

Thanks, that did the trick.

I am ok with that the backup scripts are hard/impossible to change by default but am not ok with that adding date and time is not yet brought back to the UI. Now there is a good reason to bring it back.

and that, my friends, is one of the many reasons I have opted for a different backup solution.

Just too many glitches.

What backup solution did you choose?
