Lost Data following PC Crash

Thread needs solution

I'd be grateful for some help please. I use Acronis TI 2021 and it works fine.

However I recently had a PC crash and had to reinstall Windows, losing everything in the C drive.

I have reinstalled Acronis TI but I have lost all the details of the Backups I had created which, I presume, were on the C drive.

(I do have the actual backups, stored on External HDD.)

Can anyone tell me where Acronis TI keeps all the details of the Backups and other files? For future backups I shall save all that info!

Thanks for any help.

Cheers, Chris

Chris, if you open the main ATI 2021 GUI and then go to the Settings page and scroll down to the bottom, you will see an option there to Export your backup task configuration settings to a zip file along with the companion option to Import the same from a zip file, when needed.

At this point, if you have reinstalled Windows, you would need to reconfigure your backup tasks again because the partition identifies will have all changed!

What you can do is to use the option to 'Add existing backup' then select the most recent backup file from your storage drive (or for .tibx files, select the small 12KB .tibx file which contains metadata for the backup), then click on the Reconfigure button for the added task.
Note: the option to 'Add existing backup' is hidden behind a caret 'v' to the right of the '+ Add backup' option.
