Protection services using rather massive cpu when trying to search PC via command line tools

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I have noticed that since updating to 2021 (at least I don't recall this happening with 2020) whenever I try to search my PC with SilverSearcher(AG), RipGrep, etc, from the command line, Acronis Protection Services begins using a relatively massive amount of CPU (60%~) especially compared to the CPU being used by the search itself (7%~) as seen below.

(Edit - I just retested with RipGrep, and since RG is multithreaded it uses more CPU on it's own than AG, which causes the overall CPU to remain at 100% throughout the duration of the search due to Acronis Protection Services CPU usage.)

How can I prevent this from occurring during searches?

Thanks,

-MH

I can only suggest that you set up Protection exclusions for each of this search tools so that Protection does not try to monitor their every activity!

Not seen anything like those since ATI 17. Not done any big searches but have done a few directory comparisons.

By way of clarification are searching the content of the files or just the file names?

If I remember I will do some testing tomorrow.
