Acronis recognizes disk 0 as disk 1 and locks 1-1 during backup which is the detination drive=Fail Help please

I recently had to restore my server from a full image using bootable media. This seemed to work well except that my nightly image backup has failed ever since the restore. I think I figured out the problem but I do not know how to fix it. In the notification emails I received before the restore it reported it was "locking partition 0-0" and it worked this way since 2008. Now the email says it is "locking partition 1-1" and the job fails. I have a single container RAID 5 with multiple partitions being imaged as one disk. Windows 2000 Server reports this Disk container as being Disk 0. Acronis thinks it is Disk 1. Windows identifies my external USB drive which is the destination drive for the image file as Disk 1. I'm guessing that when the backup task locks 1-1 that it is locking the external USB destination drive and that causes the job to fail. This is my best guess.

During the restore I unfortunately allowed the creation of a new NT signature instead of extracting from the archive which originally resulted in the error "Can not find a partition with the path \local\hd_sign(00000080)." To correct this I recreated the backup task and no longer get that error, but now get "Child process has exited with code 2" and "Carrying out of the before-data-capture command failed! Error code: 1". I have a pause and resume due to the presence of Exchange 2000 and it looks like it tries to go through that twice now. See attachments for before and after email notifications for comparison and my Acronis Report showing now disk errors in column C. Like I said this backup script has been working excellently for years and I have restored from an image previously and did not have these issues. I work in an FDA regulated environment and that why I'm stuck on Win2K and Acronis bld 8115. It takes a lot of validation work to upgrade so if it works we don't change it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
