Please can you help solve why I now no longer see my Acronis backup drive after a system disc clone?

My task was to replace 80Gbyte SATA system disc with larger 600 Gbyte drive using Acronis 10. System started with two drives a 80Gbyte (C: System) and 250Gbyte (E: Acronis backup, archive).

Steps taken:
1. Replaced 250byte with new 600byte and cloned the C drive across. Everything seems fine ...no problems.
2. Replaced old 80Gbyte system disc with new 600 Gbyte system disc clone and refitted 250 Gbyte Acronis backup disc.
3. BIOS appears to list both drives (600 & 250), windows starts fine, applications run fine.
4. Problem is I no longer see my second 250 Gbyte drive containing the Acronis backups / archives. Device manager lists both drives. MyComputer does not show the 250Gbyte. How can I get it recognised again without loosing the contents?

Any help appreciated.
