1st post - 2010 or buggy 2011

Thread needs solution

I am coming from using the older, traditional file by file back-up procedure to the world of Acronis. I am running XP SP3. I down loaded a trial version of TI 2011 and ran into two bugs that by using "search" I see are widely experienced. The 1st is "Cannot assign a drive letter to a partition from the backup archive " when trying to mount even though a drive letter was found to be assigned when beginning to dismount; and 2nd, the validation timer flipped to thousands of days after it showed to be virtually done. It did eventually complete the validation.

I next completely uninstalled (using Revo) TIH 2011 and d/l a trial of 2010, which is running right now (on a different computer).

Finally my question(s): Other than a different user inter face is there any reason to run 2011 over 2010? I found the two bugs within the first hour of use and, therefore, wonder about the entire release. The 2010 version seems to be running without a hitch.

Your guidance would be appreciated.
