2010 Home - Boot Recovery Cannot Find Hard Disk!!!
I have backed up an image from my old 128GB Corsair SATA III SSD and trying to restore to a new 240GB Sandisk SATA III SSD. After I click on the DOS/Linux intro screen "True Image 2010 (Full Version)" it states it cannot find a hard drive. I read somewhere here this might be a new SSD driver issue? Anyways, thanks to Acronis refusing to "support" the 2010 version, I cannot find any real solid info on how to get this working. So much for "paid" software?

Tried Trial 2013, same error: (boot off USB and CD, same result)
Starting Acronis Loader...
Acronis Loader Fatal Error: Boot drive (partition) not found.
Press to try to boot your OS..._
Whats next?

Jay,
Did you try to download the bootable ISO from your Acronis account, burn to a CD as an ISO and try this for the restore?
Can the CD see the OLD SSD? Did the problem appear only with the new SSD?

Used 2013, made a bootable USB and a bootable CD, both same results... now I cant remember if I tried on my old SSD, I'll try that again and report.

Same problem with current SSD in there.
Ideas? Solutions?

J Lee,
If you have UEFI, change it to BIOS Legacy or whatever the name you have. I doubt this could be an issue since the boot CD is booting, but anyway...
What is your BIOS settings for the disks when you start ATI? IDE, SATA, RAID?
If your disk GPT and/or Dynamic (for example a software RAID?)

Hi, I had to go away and then had some other things come up and was unable to followup with this process. Can you please resend me the link for the 2013 so I can get this new drive working? (last one expired) Thanks!
