2010/win7 moved to different partition same drive won't work

Thread needs solution

I was so happy with 2010...for awhile...had it installed in dual boot with Vista on same drive, different partitions. Got rid of vista and moved Win 7 to the Vista "front" partition (did an Acronis restore). Now Acronis only partially works. It gives me an "initializing screen when I try to create a backup with no progress of backup being shown but it appears the backup occurs in the background anyway...even if I cancel it.
Tried uninstalling it and reinstalling but that did not help.
I understand I can't use the acronis clean uninstall utility with 2010 so I downloaded and used the Microsoft uninstall utility but the folder under Program files is still there after restart but I cannot delete the folder because files are in use even though I stopped Acronis services.
Also, saw a link to how to uninstall Acronis 2010 but when I went to the link, it said I was not authorized to view it????
Please can I have some help?
I've attached the file Acronis creates of your system from the boot disk.
I have an unallocated space I can't get rid of from a previous Acronis version caused by ASZ? And tdrpman258 2 of them in
in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} -> UpperFilters

Hello Hope,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help. Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

To get rid of the traces of the previous installation please use Acronis True Image Home 2010 clean up utility.

After that please download the latest build of the program. You can learn more on how to download the latest build here. Install the program and reboot the computer.

After that please install a special driver update;

Download SnapAPI Build 503;

- Unpack it and install with Disabled logging.

- Reboot the computer to complete the changes.

See if the issue remains. If the issue persists, please obtain the Device Tree screen shots and attach to your next post.

About unallocated space. You can do the following in order to get the space back:

- Create Acronis Secure Zone again using the unallocated space

- Remove Acronis Secure Zone by means of the Manage Acronis Secure Zone wizard, adding the space to a partition you want

Please let us know the results, we should be sure that the program runs flawlessly. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.

Thank you.
