2012 and Advanced format disks

Thread needs solution

I am using the trial of True Image Home 2012.
Windows 7 Professional, 32 bit.

Backed up my laptop's hard drive (500MB). And restored it to the new 1TB Western Digital drive.

Thing is, many of the files on the new drive are now corrupted. JPEG files especially. Further more, when I have the iTB drive in my computer, and I try to copy a JPEG from another drive, it's always corrupted, after the file copy. If I look at the source image, it's fine.

Anyone seen anything like this?

If you drag a corrupted JPG back onto the current drive does it mysteriously become 'uncorrupted'?

When you say you look at the source image is this by TIH explorer or from mounting the image?

When you say copy from another drive, is this a files and folders backup or have you made a complete disk/partition image?

Is there any difference if you start the process from the recovery CD?
