2014 True Image Home fails if prior versions installed, 2013 transition broken

2014 True Image Home fails if prior versions installed. Should not be a problem & should have been anticipated and included in any software testing. I found the trial installer kept hanging, quit at a check for prior versions.

I've beat this problem by finding and blanking the Acronis True Image Home [installed] Products registry entry. It took too long to identify which one that was.

The slow downloads on Thursday & Friday Aug. 28 & 29 tell me that management failed to anticipate server loads and arrange for the expected download surges. There are CDNs and Amazon infrastructes and others who provide any capacity needed to handle this. The entertainment industry knows this too well and you can get music and DVDs on the 1st release day.

Third I started 2013 installs on Wednesday but have not received any notifications of the 2014 transitions. The existing 2013 infrastructure should have continued to function. All the license keys I retrieved stop working. Trial downloads did not correspond to the keys provided. Two days work was lost. This is an Acronis management problem.

When trying the 2014 trial files I never got to entering the license keys I had just purchased. The installer quit.

Yes I immediately tried the "Cleaners" offered which did not correct. the issue. The 2014 installer and program should have included all needed code to remove, reconfigure, reset, and make workable the new installation. This without the need to run "Cleaner" programs.

There also should not be a need to users or IT personnel to be browsing through Log files as suggested in the forms.

I read a dozen or more form discussions about the need to run "Cleaners". Not one of these experts had something even close to working. The need for "Cleaners" tells me that something is wrong with the requirements and directions given to the software developers. I don't know any developer that would not have created the code to solve these problems if directed to do so. Clearly they were not given these directions.

I previously had my registered Acronis True Image 2013 on my system...

I wanted to try Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 demo and it requested I uninstall Acronis True Image 2013 first, so I did, then installed the demo.

I tried to install Acronis True Image 2014 premium tonight and it stated that I must remove Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5, so I did then successfully installed Acronis True Image 2014.

Not entirely the same situation as yours but this system previously had 2013 and 11.5, neither of which had lingering bits that affected the 2014 installation so their QA department isn't entirely useless. Sorry about your luck though!
