2015 Won't Clone, Backup or Restore Disk

Thread needs solution

I have been using True Image in all it's incarnations for over 10 years. I have never had a problem until now. I am trying to clone my Windows 8.1 SSD to a larger SSD. I have tried using the clone in Windows procedure, then the clone function using the Acronis Rescue Media. Finally tried the full backup and restore using the Rescue Media to boot and run each time for both processes. Did not have the target drive connected when I made the back up image and did not have the source drive connected when I did the restore. When I followed this last procedure TI took about 14 hours to create a 150 gB backup to an external USB drive and then almost 20 hours to restore. It showed that it was doing a sector by sector restore. For both procedures I got a successful completion message. When I try to boot the cloned drive the system does not recognize it as a boot drive. Using Windows diskpart (running from the repair option on the 8.1 installation disk) it shows the cloned disk as not being a boot drive. I have tried every option for cloning the SSD and nothing seems to work. Should I go back to True Image 2014 which is the last one that worked? Help!
