40258: Error while parsing script file from True Image 2012 Update 2

Thread needs solution

I had True Image 2012 crashing on me whenever I tried to edit a backup job. So, I noticed I had purchased Update 2. I installed that. When the application starts it gets the error in the subject: 0x00640258+0x00640259+0x00640298+0x00900010+0x00900004+0x00900004.

I am running Windows XP SP3.

I think I need to give up on Acronis. They were my second choice after Laplink backup scheduling fell apart and started running backups at random times. I need to do drive images on a weekly schedule of base and incremental images.

My preference would be to fix this problem. If someone has a fix, I would certainly appreciate it. I would also appreciate unbiased opinions of alternative products that I can move to that will also work with Windows 7 64-bit.

Thanks,

Rick
