Acronis 2013 with Secure Zone and Startup Recovery Manager causes Windows 7 fail to boot

Just made an Acronis Secure Zone and created an image of a Windows 7 install that resided in the Secure Zone.
When I activated the startup recovery manager, it broke the Windows 7 install (Windows said it was unable to repair the installation even though I didn't choose a repair boot). When I de-activated the Startup Recovery Manager Windows 7 starts normally. Does the Startup Recovery Manager mess with Win7 boot process causing a failure? Thanks for any help from the forum.

BTW manual boot to Acronis boot media and restoring the disk image from the secure zone did repair everything. Will just have to stay away from the Startup Recovery Manager.
