Acronis has encountered a problem

I have received an error message during a backup, that the Acronis True Image Home 2012 program has encountered a problem and will close. Clicking on the button on the error message causes the program to close. On reopening the program I find the backup is still continuing, and it closes normally. How can I be sure the program has truly backed up my C:\ drive to my external F:\ drive?
