Acronis Online Backup causing errors and machine shutdown problems

I get an error every time I try to access or delete my online backup. This is also causing my machine to hang when I do a restart or shutdownl. I get the message “Operations are in progress. Please wait. The machine will be turned off automatically after the operations complete”.

The machine never turns off and this message continues to appear until I do a HARD shutdown (which causes disk errors). I know this to be fact because I read info on your website about system hang. I tried stopping the backup service and I no longer have this message and my machine shuts down fine.

For Some reason my attachments no longer appear with the message. It may just be me but it seems easier if you can see a demonstration of whats happening. Consequently, I'm submitting additional post to include my attached Word document files again.

David, using which website did you create your account?
From Germany i had a more stable experience with the EU datacenter, so you may try creating a new account with a different email address via http://www.acronis.co.uk/homecomputing/products/online-backup/
I was able to extend my trial from one to three months by using http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/beta/android_en… afterwards btw!

I had the shutdown issue too in ATIH2012 and was informed by support, that the behaviour will be changed in the next update - per http://kb.acronis.com/content/19016 only ABR11 was fixed so far.
In the meantime you may want check in Windows task manager if TrueImageHomeService.exe is running before every shutdown/reboot. Even disconnecting the network cable for hours did not help on my machine btw.
