Acronis Scheduler2 not shown in 'Services'

Thread needs solution

Running xp, sp3
Am attempting to perform complete back up as done previously. Receive error #1722. RPC Server not available. RPC Call is 'started/automatic'; RPC locator 'not started/manual'.
However, Acronis Scheduler2 is not shown in Services list. Uninstalled/reinstalled program to no avail.
Beyond my very limited knowledge now.
Any help great appreciated.
TIA

[Yana -- I AM SORRY: *I* CAUSED THE PROBLEM, INFRA: i forgot that i stopped the Scheduler2 service a few weeks ago (using msconfig.exe) because my ram was inadequate; after i added 1gb of ram, i had forgotten to re-enable the Scheduler2! and i mention that because i am using Seagate Disc Wizard, services.msc lists its name as "Seagate Scheduler2 Service," not "Acronis Scheduler2 Service."]

Hello Yana,

my circumstances are the same: i have been using seagate disc wizard for years; i just began to receive this popup:

E00640068
Failed to create the scheduled task
Error #1722
"The RPC Server is unavailable (OxFFF0)"

as per http://kb.acronis.com/content/1521, the Scheduler2 service is not listed in the services.msc window (see attached .png)

xp pro 32/sp3 ..

i will uninstall-and-reinstall if you say so, but i am academically curious about the disappearance of the Scheduler2 service.
