Acronis Secure Zone space (non)-management
Acronis Secure Zone was created of 160GB on a 230GB total external HDD leaving 70GB Other Space, which I now need to increase to 130GB. Decreasing ASZ by 60GB to 100GB only creates Unallocated Space of 60GB without increasing the OS at all. I tried which way whatsoever, however, it looks as if once the ASZ space is defined, that’s it. And yet Acronis blurb states: “When reducing the size of Acronis Secure Zone, if there is any unallocated space on the hard disk, it will be allocated to the selected partitions along with the space freed up from Acronis Secure Zone. Thus, no unallocated space will remain on the disk”. Not true, and it’s not possible to “select partitions”. Any solutions, anyone, other than removing the ASZ, which from others’ Forum comments is anyways not necessary when using an external drive. By the way, I’d used ATI 11 Home, which was clunky though reliable, and I thought that ATIH 10 would be better, but it’s a backwards step actually.
