Acronis THI 2012 Failed to get back my Outlook e-mails and contacts
Hi,
i had to make a new installtion of my Win7 64 Bit. Before i saved my outlook 2003 e-mails and contacts with Acronis THI 2012 2.1 Build 7133. I decided to change the path of my applications. They are now all under C:\Program Files (x86). Bevore they had an own partition F:\Program.
If i start the recovery I can not!! change the path!!
How can I get back my e-mails and contacts into outlook 2003. Can i start an export from the file?
Does any one have an idea? And please , please do not say: ask the acronis support.
Hopefully you can understand my english.
Thanks in advance

Pat L wrote:You need to restore the outlook PST file somewhere on the computer from a disk and partition backup or file backup you might have, then open it with OUtlook and drag/drop what you need out of it back in the new PST file.
And once you have your .PST file, this is how easy it is to open it in Outlook and copy data (email, contacts, calendar, notes, etc) into the buckets of your newly created profile or installation.

Thanks for your answer,
the only backup I have was made with Acronis THI 2012. The backup file is on my NAS. How can I bring it back to some where on my disk and open it with outlook. I can not change the restore path in acronis. Maybe I make a mistake. It is a *.tip file.
Thanks again for your support.

AnDan,
To be clear. You must have a complete back up image that contains the complete .PST file you wish to recover data from. If you used the eMail and Settings back up and ONLY captured you data in this manner, you cannot recover this data to an alternate location. You must restore it to the same installation it was saved from.
This is because ATI uses configuration settings stored in the registry, as Pat L stated.
If you have an image with your .PST this can be used to recover your data anywhere you have a compatible version of Outlook installed.
